SAS to focus on Indian SMB Market

MUMBAI: SAS India recently announced the launch of its reseller program in India for value-added resellers (VARs), systems integrators and independent software vendors interested in selling SAS software.

SAS also announced the launch of nine SMB bundles, which would be addressing the needs of Indian SMB customers and would be sold only through resellers to Indian SMB customers.

Both these announcements emphasizes SAS' commitment to deliver required business intelligence (BI) to Indian SMB customers and make them more competitive both locally and globally.

"As SAS resellers, our channel partners can offer their customers the most comprehensive BI software in the market, including a 'one-stop-shop' for software and services," said Miles Mahoney, vice president, SAS Global Alliances and Channels.

"We are committed to provide all the support to our channel partners in successfully promoting our BI solutions to their customers. This includes appropriately priced products as well as field marketing, pre and post sales service and engineering to support the entire product lifecycle management for the SMB market," added Mahoney.

"Alliances are key cornerstone of our business strategy as they play significant role in delivering value to our customers," said Phillip Beniac, vice president, SAS Asia Pacific. "Launch of reseller program will help us reach out to growing Indian SMB market and serve them with our business intelligence solutions" added Beniac.

Nine different bundles, customized specifically for small to mid-size businesses, include SAS Data Integration, Business Intelligence and Analytics software.

SAS' reseller program will continue to emphasize the SAS Enterprise Intelligence Platform, which includes Data Integration, Intelligence Storage, Business Intelligence and Analytics.
