SAS announce global partnership with TCS, Wipro

MUMBAI, INDIA: SAS, the leader in business intelligence (BI) and analytics, announced on Thursday its global partnership with leading global IT services providers Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Wipro Technologies.

The Wipro SAS pie-up is focused on delivering BI and analytics software solutions to meet increasing global demand across various industries, said a press release.

“Information and analysis to drive decisions that achieve organizational objectives are imperative for today’s business,” said Srini Pallia, global head and vice president, Business Technology Services, Wipro Technologies Ltd.

“With SAS’ powerful analytics and Wipro’s global services network, we deliver increased value and high ROI to joint customers across EMEA, Asia Pacific and more” he added.

“Partnerships must bring value to customers. Combining SAS’ strength and experience in BI and analytics software with Wipro’s renowned consulting services will help customers thrive,” said Russ Cobb, vice president of alliances and product marketing at SAS.

SAS’ partnership with TCS will deliver to joint customers complete and innovative technology solutions that improve performance, enhance profitability, and deliver insight and intelligence, said the press release.

“There is increasing demand for solutions that can help organizations glean timely and useful intelligence from volumes of existing data, thereby gaining a competitive edge through actions that boost organizational performance,” according to Dr. Santosh Mohanty, global head, Technology Excellence, at TCS.

“TCS is a leading IT services vendor with an established BI practice,” said Praveen Sengar, senior manager, Software and Services Research, IDC India. “The partnership with SAS, a leader in the BI and analytics domain, is therefore a natural one that would help both vendors extend their global reach.”

According to  Ratish Panicker, SAS director of global outsourcing and alliances, “SAS’ partnership with TCS will help expand the depth and breadth of BI, analytic solutions and service offerings globally.” 

SAS made these announcements at the ‘Premier Business Leadership Series’ in Mumbai.
