SAP wins enterprise application software award

BANGALORE, INDIA: Frost and Sullivan has recognized SAP as the market leader across the total enterprise application software market in India, including ERP, CRM and SCM. In a recent awards ceremony by Frost and Sullivan, SAP was awarded the “Market Leadership Award for Enterprise Application Software.”

According to the latest Frost and Sullivan report on the enterprise application software market, SAP leads the overall market with an estimated share of 42.5 percent of the total Indian market in terms of revenues for 2006. Across enterprise application categories, SAP dominated with market share of 36.5 percent (ERP), 34.8 percent (CRM) and 33.2 percent (SCM). Interestingly, within the fast-growing mid-market ERP market, SAP emerged as the ‘Vendor of Choice’ for small and medium enterprises in India.

SAP consolidates market leadership in 2007

Now in its 11th year of operations in India, SAP continues to strengthen its market leadership among Large Enterprises, Small & Midsize Enterprises while extending it to newer verticals and market segments.

“The trend in adoption of Enterprise Application is expected to grow at a CAGR of 17.5 percent during 2007 to 2013 to reach $287.3 million by 2013. We look to a continued contribution coming from SAP India,” he added.
