SAP to start shipping System mySAP.com by September end

NEW DELHI, August 20: SAP India is likely to start shipping System mySAP.com, an open

e-business solution environment by the end of September. With this, SAP joins the

e-business bandwagon, which boasts of companies like NIIT and HP. SAP AG has already

introduced the product in the European market.

System mySAP.com consists of portals, industry-specific enterprise applications,

Internet applications and services as well as XML-based technology that enable companies

to participate in the Internet economy. The product is believed to encompass business

collaboration scenarios spanning from back-end to front-end to virtual marketplaces. These

scenarios cover e-commerce, customer relationship management, business intelligence,

supply chain management, human resources, logistics and knowledge management. The product

is being targeted at the companies keen to leverage on the internet technology to make

their business processes more effective.

Meanwhile, SAP recently showcased its automotive industry solution at a `Total IT

solutions for the automotive industry' seminar held in the capital. The objective of the

seminar was to give the automotive industry an insight into their future roadmap, which

will assist them to enhance operational efficiency and exploit new business opportunities

giving them a competitive advantage. Also to make the automotive organizations realize

that only by integrating the business infrastructure into the extended automotive supply

chain, will help reduce the development cycles, production times and inventories.
