SAP solutions for BDAs e-governance initiative

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will deploy SAP solutions to automate and integrate its processes across various departments as part of its e-governance initiative.

HCL is the implementation partner to design, develop, implement and support the integrated management information system, said SAP India, a provider of business software solutions.

"The e-governance project will integrate the numerous processes and also bring the various divisions on to a common platform, enabling a single-window view for clearance and information updation. It also helps reducing paperwork, enhancing productivity, customer comfort and transparency and unlimited public interface.

This will further empower senior officials to take right decisions at the right time with ease thereby optimizing on resources reducing, reaction time and enhancing efficiency", said M.N. Vidyashankar, Commissioner, BDA.

SAP said in a statement here that countries like the US, Canada, Singapore, UK, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Russia, Kenya, etc. have been using its e-government solutions. In India, SAP has strong partnerships with over 750 customers, which includes companies such as BPCL, IOCL, ONGC, BHEL, BEL, CIDCO, etc.
