SAP software to be available in Hindi

BANGALORE, INDIA: SAP AG, a provider of business management software, on Wednesday announced that it is planning to develop the Hindi version of its Human Capital Management (HCM), Employee Self-Service (ESS), ERP Financials and Logistics solutions as part of its continuing investments on localization for the Indian market.

The company will also develop the Hindi version of its Citizen Services Applications, a utility for government organizations like municipal corporations whose main charter is to offer Citizen Services, said a press release. It will be available in 2012.

“India is a key market for SAP. With a majority of Hindi speaking population, there is a need for organizations to implement technologies in their local language to deliver timely services to attract and serve citizens better”, said Yueting Zhou, senior vice president, SAP Globalization Services.

Alok Goyal, chief operating officer, SAP India said that Hindi versions will increase its customers’ ability to increase efficiencies and reach out a much wider set of stakeholders.

In keeping with the philosophy of leveraging the local expertise, a significant amount of work on this project would be done in collaboration with local Indian partners, the release added.
