BANGALORE: The world's largest software maker for enterprise, SAP AG is all set to woo the Indian software developer community with its first ever TechEd in Asia. The three-day conference is to be held from November 22 - 24, in Whitefiled, Bangalore at the company's largest development facility outside its headquarters in Germany.

"For the first time we are addressing the developer community in the Asia Pacific region, informing them about product architecture, roadmap, technology platform and the backbone for enterprise architecture. This year the focus would be on NetWeaver. As for the marketing objective, the conference would create a brand awareness and be a platform for the company to share the product information to all," said Martin Prinz, Joint Managing Director, SAP Labs India.

India would be the fourth location for the company's conference, after US, Germany and Japan. The conference is targeted at the developer community of their partners, customers and prospective buyers.

SAP TechEd is to be featured with tech workshops, business tracks and technology lectures from experts from across the globe. There are 94 technology sessions and 48 business sessions spread over the three days. Around 1,000 participants from the region are expected. "India is No. 3 in SAP Developer Network (SDN) with about 12,000 registered developers are connected in an online community, in the past one year now," added Prinz.

There would be a spot Net Weaver certification exam, where individuals could take the three hour test and get certified by SAP as Net Weaver expert.
