SAP On-demand solutions in India by mid 2008

NEW DELHI: SAP, provider of business software will bring its premier product – ‘On-demand Solutions’ to the Indian market by mid-2008. Informing this to CyberMedia News here, Ranjan Das, president and CEO of SAP Indian Subcontinent said that the ‘Business-by-design’ applications will target small companies.

“We will be bringing into India, the SAP ‘On-Demand’ business by design solutions and applications by mid-2008, after it has been proved to be successful in US and German markets. The hosted model is very much different from the Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) and these solutions are built and targeted at small businesses. After the launch phase, we will then decide on the go-to-market strategy,” said Das.

The model helps businesses improve service with personalized, role-Based Views, provide Real-Time Service and Support Visibility, with CRM Solutions to achieve business objectives.

Powered by SAP NetWeaver, the ‘On-Demand Solution’ for CRM provides sales representatives and the sales management with visibility into service issues assigned to customers. It empowers service representatives, managers, and administrative staffers to perform their daily tasks more effectively with personalized Web pages designed specifically for their roles. Service managers can monitor service performance and operations, analyze service processes, and co-ordinate service teams. Service representatives can respond to customer needs quickly.

Employees can create follow-up activities such as tasks, appointments, or service ticket–related e-mail, as well as capture, maintain, and monitor billing-related inquiries and complaints.

According to the company, the service functionality of the SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) on-demand solution drives customer loyalty, while boosting the bottom lines.
