SAP names Sanjay Deshmukh as VP, Business User

BANGALORE, INDIA: SAP Business Objects, a provider in business software, today announced the appointment of Sanjay Deshmukh as the vice president, Business User, SAP, Indian subcontinent.

Presently, based out of Mumbai, Sanjay would be responsible for its growth strategy and operations in India, said a press release.

He would overlook on driving strategy, business development, and sales of integrated solutions for the business user, comprising business intelligence solutions from SAP Business Objects, as well as enterprise information management and performance optimization applications.

Sanjay has been with SAP BusinessObjects, for the past 8 years. He has been instrumental in establishing SAP BusinessObjects as the one of the fastest growing geographies in the Asia Pacific Japan region, the release added.

With a career spanning 14 years, Sanjay has held key positions in some of the renowned database software and business intelligence firms, in the industry prior to joining SAP BusinessObjects.

In his initial years, he was associated with Informix which was later acquired by IBM and Tata Unisys, the release added.
