BANGALORE, INDIA: SAP Labs India recently hosted the 10th edition of Barcamp Bangalore at its campus in Whitefield, Bangalore.

From ‘Truth about mobile connectivity’, ‘Architectural practices for scalable apps’ and ‘Gamification-add fun to everything’ to ‘public bicycle sharing’ and ‘Art of self sustaining trips’, the event covered a wide variety of topics. Both Barcamp veterans and first timers attended this participatory-workshop event.
The user-generated, open participatory Barcamps are popular with the tech community as they have no pre-set agendas and encourage spontaneous and open-ended interactions.

Camper Swaroop, a speaker participant said that he loves to attend Barcamps as "The space gives me the opportunity to meet passionate people who share a similar interest in topics that I am passionate about. Topics like 'productivity input' are complex with very few followers and therefore Barcamps are an excellent platform to meet the enthusiasts."
SAP Labs believes that two-way discussion forums such as Barcamps are extremely important for nourishing and nurturing the technology ecosystem in India.
