SAP Labs delivers SCM solution

BANGALORE: SAP Labs India has announced the availability of the SAP DRM, an

integrated supply chain management application that will be integrated into SAP

R/3. The application will allow supply chain partners to automate complex

negotiation and tracking processes between manufacturers, distributors and

resellers.

According to SAP Labs India co-director Udo Urbanek, "The DRM solution,

developed entirely in India, signals the emergence of SAP Labs India as one of

the premier SAP development centers worldwide. We expect SAP Labs India to play

an increasingly important role in the future." SAP DRM offers an integrated

solution to help enterprises manage their channel. SAP DRM delivers solutions

targeted at supporting both the manufacturers and the distributors/resellers of

high-tech products.

SAP DRM comprises tools that allow high-tech companies to execute complex

business processes like ship and debit claims processing, agreement negotiation,

warehouse management and inventory reconciliation. SAP Labs India is also

developing SAP’s industry business solutions for sectors like banking, oil

& gas, hi-tech industries, aerospace and defense. SAP Labs India will

develop Internet enabled products for mySAP.com and for SAPMarkets, a newly

formed subsidiary dedicated to developing the mySAP.com marketplace. The

development centers of SAPMarkets will be located at Walldorf and Bangalore.
