SAP India makes rapid strides in FY 2007

BANGALORE, INDIA: SAP India today announced that it continued rapid growth in client acquisition in FY 2007.

The company increased its total number of customers to 3024 from 1350 at the end of FY 2006, registering an increase of more than 100 per cent.

Software license revenue from India also grew by over 100 per cent.

The growth momentum also elevated SAP India to the top 10 revenue-generating regions in the world for SAP.

Ranjan Das, president and CEO of SAP India, said that the company experienced growth in all the segments.

Das said the company would be investing $1 billion in the country between 2006-2010.

“We will focus on public sector, retail, banking and financial, government utilities and energy companies,” he said.

He also informed that the company would officially announce the launch of its Business By Design in April targeted at small companies.
