SAP Developer members cross 75,000

BANGALORE: SAP today announced that the number of SAP Developer Network (SDN) members in India has crossed 75,000.

SDN is an active online community where advanced business application programming (ABAP), Java, .NET, and other technologies converge to form a resource and collaboration channel for SAP developers, consultants, integrators, and business analysts.

SDN hosts a technical library, expert blogs, exclusive downloads and code samples, an extensive eLearning catalog, and active, moderated discussion forums.

More than 30 per cent of the unique visitors to SDN each month comes from Asia Pacific with India having the highest number of visitors followed by Japan, Australia, China and South Korea. With over 100,000 members, Asia Pacific continues to be one of the fastest-growing regions in the world for SDN, accounting for about 20 per cent of its global membership, which has crossed 500,000, a SAP statement said.

“I am delighted that we have received a resounding endorsement of our platform from the Indian developer and user community – translating into one of the largest sub-communities of members globally. SAP values this momentum as a significant achievement and industry validation of our business process-driven model,” said Georg Kniese, managing director, SAP Labs India.

SAP also announced that India is also home for the largest business process expert community globally. With close to 20,000 members, India accounts for the highest share of the global Business Process Expert community membership. Business Process Expert community is an industry innovation recently launched by SAP.

The Business Process Expert Community aims to foster co-innovation among SAP and non-SAP customers and partners in an open forum, and allows members to collaborate and co-innovate by accessing information and other SAP materials designed to help them deliver increased value to their organizations.
