SAP brings Application Life-Cycle Mgmt to India

DELHI, INDIA: SAP AG, along with HP, on Tuesday announced the launch of Application Life-Cycle Management (ALM) solutions to enable its customers to mitigate quality risks, increase IT efficiency and reduce operational costs.

ALM offers SAP customers a suite of applications that enables them to plan, evaluate and execute IT initiatives while delivering results within hours or days, rather than weeks or months, said a press release.

ALM applications are reusable assets for modeling and monitoring business processes, automate application testing and measure the value of the application.

SAP customers will also get new specialized testing services such as application functional testing, performance validation and agile software testing to reduce efforts and costs while maintaining efficiency for their Application Life Cycle.

SAP and HP jointly hosted the industry’s first ‘ALM Thought Leadership Management’ conference across India — in Delhi and Mumbai this month. One of the key acknowledgments at the conference was the ‘ALM Excellence Awards 2011’; wherein 14 Indian enterprises were felicitated for their successful adoption of ALM solutions.
