BANGALORE, INDIA: The SAP ACE Awards 2008, the industry’s most coveted honor recognizing innovative use of technology to deliver business excellence, felicitated 31 winners in a glittering ceremony at the Leela Palace.
In its third edition, the SAP ACE awards 2008 celebrates breakthrough IT deployment catalyzing business transformation in fast coming a part of the DNA of Indian companies across sizes as they seek to gain a vital global competitive advantage.

The unprecedented participation this year witnessed over 113 nominations for 126 projects across a wide profile of companies, across diverse sectors including PSUs, charitable trusts besides private sector companies across the engineering, automotive and chemical sectors. Participants appreciated the systematic and rigorous evaluation comprising a diligent four stage process - including scrutiny, interview, onsite review and a detailed panel discussion - to arrive at the final jury decision. This year’s expert jury members comprised of DD Purkayastha, CEO, ABP Limited , Shivshankar - CIO, Infosys , Vijay Sethi - CIO, Hero Honda, Kailashnathan - CIO, Titan Industries and Dr T R Madan Mohan - Industry Analyst.

The evaluation process comprises of four stages including scrutiny of the nomination form, short listing via interviews, onsite review and final assessment by the jury after a detailed panel discussion.
