Sandvine opens new office in Bangalore

BANGALORE, INDIA: Intelligent broadband networking solutions provider for fixed and mobile operators, Sandvine, announced today the launch of a new office here.

The company said that its Network Policy Control products and solutions were designed to make the Internet better and it was dedicated to building solutions that allow Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the country to increase network profitability, while improving the quality of experience for the consumer.

Its solutions, according to Sandvine, would provide business intelligence that facilitate design of new data and multimedia revenue-generating services, and control network operation costs by performing traffic and network optimization.

"Our new presence in India is an indication of our commitment to the region and is a move towards solidifying our global footprint," said Dave Caputo, CEO, Sandvine.

"Sandvine has helped over 200 Internet service providers in over 85 countries worldwide and we are excited to play a part in bringing better broadband to subscribers in India."

According to Brad Siim, COO and vice-president, Engineering, "In a rapidly growing marketplace, ISPs in India need to be able to meet explosive broadband demand, with a quick go-to-market strategy."
