SanDisk appoints Mercer as director

MILPITAS, USA: SanDisk Corporation announced that is has appointed D. Scott Mercer to its board of directors.

Mercer brings to SanDisk more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry, in both senior executive and board positions.

Previously, Mercer was the CEO, Director and Chairman of the Board of Conexant Systems, Inc., interim CEO and Director at Adaptec, Inc., and served as the CFO of Western Digital Corporation. Mercer also held senior operating and finance roles at Dell, Inc., LSI Corporation and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mercer also held board positions at Palm, Inc., SMART Modular Technologies (WWH), Inc., Alantec Corporation, NetRatings, Inc., and several private companies as well.

Currently he serves as a Director of Polycom, Inc. and QLogic Corporation too.
