SanDisk announces new Extreme and Ultra range of devices

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Flash memory maker SanDisk Corporation announced new range of devices - Extreme II SSD, Ultra USB 3.0 flash drive and Extreme microSDHC/microSDXC UHS-I memory cards.

"This new range of products delivers breakthrough technology and advanced performance to satisfy the most discerning users."

The Extreme II SSD features 19nm flash memory and proprietary high-performance tiered system architecture (which includes the company's nCache acceleration technology). It delivers up to 550MB/sec sequential read and up to 510MB/sec sequential write speeds. It is available in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities with SRP at Rs 14,750, Rs 26,100 and Rs 49,500 respectively.

The SanDisk Extreme microSDHC and microSDXC UHS-I cards offer both UHS Speed Class 1 (U1) and Class 10 video recording, allowing the user to record full HD video (1080p).

The new microSDXC card is equipped with up to 80MB/sec read and up to 50MB/sec write speeds. The microSDHC and microSDXC cards are available in 16GB to 64GB capacities with SRP at Rs 2,990, Rs. 9,750.

The Ultra USB 3.0 flash drive enables users to transfer and share large files with speeds up to 80MB/sec. It is available in 16GB to 64GB capacities with SRP at Rs 1,250 to Rs 4,950.
