Samsung strengthens touch portfolio with Jet 2

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Samsung Electronics, a player in the filed of digital media, today announced the extension of its Jet series of Smart phones in India with the launch of Samsung Jet 2.

The new Samsung Jet 2, while retaining the original stylish features of the Samsung Jet, provides consumers the benefits of advanced features of a smart phone and easy-to-use user interface of a conventional mobile phone, said a press release.

Samsung said the new model boasts of the best display technology and speed of performance and it is packed with some additional features like the Google Push Email and allows media content sharing technology among DLNA certified devices.

The phone also comes equipped with an English dictionary and an advanced Media Browser, which allows the users to close several widgets at once through motion control.

Announcing the launch of Samsung Jet 2 in the Indian market, Ranjeet Yadav, director- Mobile & IT, Samsung Electronics, said today’s mobile users seek smart features and easy-to-use user interface in their mobiles. “Samsung Jet 2 combines both these qualities and gives the user a superior and differentiated experience,” he added.

While the original Jet is priced at Rs. 24,150/-, the new Samsung Jet 2 is priced at Rs.19,500, said Samsung. With this launch, Samsung Touch screen mobile portfolio boasts of 20 models priced in the range between Rs.9,600 to Rs. 40,000, the release added.
