Samsung replaces the head of its mobile design team

BANGALORE, INDIA: Samsung Electronics has replaced the head of its mobile design, Chang Dong-hoon. Reuters reported that he is replaced by Lee Min-hyouk, vice president for mobile design.

Lee was responsible for desing of the whole GALAXY range and was called 'Midas' for his success on GALAXY series designs.

The reshuffle took place amidst the criticism over the just launched Galaxy S5 phone's not-so-impressive design.

Chang Dong-hoon offered to resign last week and will retain a broader role overseeing design across the company.

Samsung did not comment on the reasons for this reshuffle.
