Samsung launches slew of lifestyle products

NEW DELHI: In a bid to grow its IT business in India, Samsung India has announced a slew of lifestyle products like NotePCs, MagicGreen monitors and TFT LCD monitors.

The company has launched its new MagicGreen Monitor, 798MB Plus in the Indian market. The 17” health-friendly green monitor has a two layer coating which emits FIR (Far Infrared Rays) and Anion rich radiation that the company claims improves the general sense of well being and makes the environment bacteria free. The retail price of the Samsung MagicGreen monitor is Rs 7,500.

Expecting its TFT LCD monitor sales to grow by over 55 percent this year, Samsung has launched its new range of TFT-LCD monitors in 17”, 19”, 20”, 40” and 46” screen size.

SyncMaster 460P (40”) is priced at Rs 2,20,000, while the SyncMaster 460P (46”) is price at Rs 6,49,000. For gaming enthusiasts, avid surfers or professionals looking for high performance monitors, the company has launched SyncMaster 713N and 913N. The estimated retail price for the SyncMaster 713N (17”), SyncMaster 913N (19”) and SyncMaster 204T are Rs 18,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 55,000 respectively.

In its NotePCs category, the company has launched the Q30+, a 12.1” wide NotePC, weighing 1.1 kg. Equipped with an Intel PentiumM Centrino processor, it is priced at Rs 1,19,900. The Samsung X20 NotePC features special AV station, which allows for instant AV/DVD playback without booting up the windows. Equipped with Intel PentiumM processor, the notebook comes with features like Network Manager, Easy Box, and a 15” XGA screen and is priced at Rs 69,900.

The Samsung R-50 with next generation Centrino technology comes with power 3D sound and is priced at Rs 80,490. The Samsung P29 offers legacy port (Parallel and Serial port) connectivity and expansion options. Its retail price is Rs 56,900.

Speaking on the occasion, Samsung's volume business head Rajeev Singh said, “We are organizing a 14 city dealer meet cum launch for our system integrators. Till now we have covered three cities and the response to the products being launched today has been tremendous.”
