BANGALORE, INDIA: The wait is over for Samsung Galaxy xCover 2, the rough and tough smartphone which is dust and sand resistant.
Against the expectations that the Galaxy xCover 2 would be unveiled at the Mobile Congress in Barcelona, Samsung announced it on Monday. The device runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The 4-inch device can be submerged in water to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes. That enables its 5-MP camera take photos under water. And being sand resistant, it could be a good desert phone.
Though the price and date of release have not been specified, it is expected to be priced around Rs 15,000.
