Samsung Galaxy S4 Singapore launch likely on May 4

Samsung is likely to release Galaxy S4, its new flagship smartphone, at an event dubbed "Samsung Fashion Steps Out 2013" on May 4 in "celebration of the launch" of the smartphone.

CNet reports that the Galaxy handset will be launching on Star Wars Day, though a Samsung spokesperson said that the retail date was still "to be confirmed".

As per the same report, pre-orders for the Galaxy S4 will start on April 17 in Singapore. The pre orders can be made through local telcos' websites. Alternatively, you can pop by Samsung Experience Stores (in Singapore) from the same date to pre-order with a S$50 deposit.

Meanwhile, Emirates 24/7 reports that the south Korean company will be holding an event for the media a couple of weeks later, on April 24, 2013, after which the spearhead will be officially available in the UAE from April 27.
