Samsung Galaxy S4 bookings open, price Rs 59,990

Samsung Galaxy S4, which is slated for official release in April, is up for pre-order booking on Rediff Shopping and with other online sellers.

However, Galaxy S4's price is quoted at Rs 59,990. As per the listing, the phone will start shipping in 45 days.

Tradus quotes Rs 45,000 for the Galaxy S 4.

Tradus which has also opened advanced booking of Galaxy S 4 for a fixed amount of Rs 999/- Customers need to pay the balance only when the phone is launched on the site. The said assures that the product will be shipped to the customer on priority.

Amazon.de has the Galaxy S4 on pre-order for €649 (approximately Rs 45,000), with a 50 euro discount. Even taking into account the usual levies and excise duties that will be attached to the price on the India-bound handset, the price of Rs 59,990 seems stratospheric.

The ideal price of the phone is under Rs 50,000 to better compete with the likes of the Sony Xperia Z and the soon-to-be-launched HTC One.
