The tablet is also based on a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM.
Samsung's country head for mobile and IT business Ranjeet Yadav said that this year has been exciting for them. ''Tablet market is witnessing huge growth in India. With Galaxy Note 800, we provide unique consumer experience,'' he said.
This new product, Yadav said will fuel tablet growth and help Samsung to grow further. Samsung Galaxy Note 800 features multi-screen and comes pre-loaded with Adobe Photoshop Touch.
With the launch of the new tablet Samsung is looking to build on the popularity of its Note 'phablet', and expects key features such as a stylus-type pen and split-screen function to stand the new device apart from rival Apple Inc's iPad.

The Galaxy Note 800 tablet had picked up positive early reviews from tech bloggers impressed with the S-Pen's writing and sketching performance and the tablet's ability to have two apps active on a split-screen.
Samsung had earlier opened the pre-booking of the tablet for Rs 2,000. The pre-bookers will have to pay the balance amount within 3 days of the launch of the device.

Asim Warsi, VP- mobile division at Samsung India, said that they have created My Education app that is pre-embedded in the device, through which students can access upto 10,000 e-content videos in sync with Indian curriculum.
Samsung Galaxy Note 800, Warsi said has WiFi channel bonding, Bluetooth 4.0 that facilitate greater reach. The company also offers this device on zero per cent EMI finance option.
Fashion designer Rina Dhaka said the Samsung Galaxy Note 800 is easy-to-use, productive-on-the-go and feels that its multi-tasking feature is fantastic.
Noyonika Chatterjee, choreographer and grooming consultant, believes that its display and sound quality gives complete multimedia experience. ''It's one-stop shop for personal, professional, creative and recreational activities,'' added Chatterjee.
Professional photographer Tarun Khiwal and educationalist Mrinalini Kaura also gave a thumps-up to the Samsung Galaxy Note 800 while reviewing it in tandem with their workstyles.
