Samsung enters enterprise and SMB segments

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd has expanded its business vertical by penetrating into enterprise and SMB segments. Samsung further aims to strengthen its position in the enterprise segment by targeting to achieve $400 billion revenue by 2020.

Samsung's time frame to achieve a growth of 21 percent in 2020, from 7 percent in 2013 in business to business segment (B2B), is an expectation to earn $84 billion in B2B. Also, the enterprise business will contribute 10 percent to Samsung India's revenue over the next few years.

Sameer Garde, senior VP, Enterprise Business Team, Samsung India Electronics, said: "It was the voice of customers that lead Samsung to take this initiative to get into the enterprise and SMB sectors. We are providing completely different solution to our customers as compared to our competitors who are into this segment. Future and IT conversion is the vision of Samsung in the coming years."

He added that Samsung has all consumer-centric products, which also serve the enterprise segment as well. This is possible because of the applications present in these products. The enterprise business is new, yet, the fastest growing segment for Samsung.

Samsung is a consumer and enterprises product driven organization. It is focusing on enterprise ecosystem services as of now. Samsung soon will expand its presence in healthcare also.
