Samsung announces additions to its high performance PC lineup

LAS VEGAS, USA: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd,on Monday announced two additions to its high performance PC lineup: the ATIV Book 9 and the ATIV One 7 2014 Editions.

The ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition maintains the iconic design legacy of the award-winning Book 9 with enhanced computing power, mobility and touch capabilities, while the powerful ATIV One 7 2014 Edition offers the premier at-home computing experience. Samsung's 2014 ATIV product line offers the ultimate blend of stylish design and premium features while creating a synergistic experience that will revolutionize users' connected lives.

The new PCs will be on display at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Samsung's booth, #12004 in Central Hall, from January 7-10, 2014.

ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition

In keeping with the award-winning design of its predecessor, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition delivers enhanced productivity and mobility for a premium computing experience that can keep up with the most demanding power user. With a choice of two processors available (Intel Core i5 or Intel Corei7) the Book 9 is optimized for ultimate efficiency, allowing users to access the information and programs they need nearly instantly. Taking all-day computing to the next level, Samsung engineered a 40 percent increase in battery life, extending usage to up to 14 hours for increased accessibility on the go.

Constructed with a sophisticated aerodynamic build, the 2014 Edition offers users an easier viewing experience with a 15.6-inch full HD display. This is an 8.2 percent increase in size from the previous model, which enables users to easily work on multiple windows, while ten-finger multi-touch capabilities allow input directly via the screen, or via touchpad and keyboard. The introduction of a new anti-reflective coating will help reduce glare on the screen, making the screen easy to view in direct sunlight.

When developing the latest Book 9, Samsung focused on improving the design and productivity of the keyboard. By taking into account consumer and industry feedback, Samsung engineered a high-quality keyboard that matches the premium nature of the PC. By eliminating the flat key plane, the keyboard curves to fit and cradle the user's fingers, and with the addition of rubberized coated keys, key tapping is drastically reduced.
