Sameena Ahmed of Array Networks bags CFO Award

BANGALORE: Array Networks Inc., today announced that its chief financial officer, Sameena Ahmed, was named winner of the highly coveted Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal 2010 CFO of the Year Award.

Ahmed was honored as the winner of this prestigious award in the large privately-held companies category based on her achievements in the last several years, said a press release.

Ahmed joined Array Networks in 2004 and has played a significant role in the success and growth of the company. Under her leadership, the company achieved many milestones that include increasing revenues by over 700 p.c over a six year period and achieving profitability for several years.

She takes on more responsibilities than the typical CFO and manages legal, human resources, IT and corporate administration in addition to the traditional duties such as overseeing cost control, financial reporting and budgeting.

The San Jose Business Journal award honors Silicon Valley's top financial executives in six categories. Winners are selected by a panel of judges that included the deans of Santa Clara University and San Jose State University's business schools and past award recipients.
