Salesforce might tackle data silos at Buan

ANNAPOLIS, US: Buan Consulting has successfully implemented Salesforce.com for Excalibur Associates, Inc., a small business providing security, health and safety, and emergency management technical services to industry and government clients nation-wide.

A press release tells Excalibur chose Salesforce.com to create one source of truth for data and provide insight into sales activity. Excalibur was experiencing significant data silos and limited visibility and understanding of “the big picture” of its business development and capture planning activities. They asked Buan Consulting to run its Salesforce.com implementation.

The release adds that Buan consultants designed a system that allowed Salesforce.com to act as a single data source. Since Salesforce.com is web-based, the location of Excalibur’s geographically dispersed employees was no longer an issue and allowed them to relay all CRM data in real-time. The system was also designed to initiate workflows and alerts to track important activity.

“We knew the value of Salesforce.com when we chose them as our CRM system, but Buan helped us to create a system that was a perfect fit for our business,” stated Fred Mendes, Excalibur CEO. “Our senior management team now has real-time insight into the business development and capture planning activities, and the business development team has the system they need to be successful.”
