BANGALORE, INDIA: CRM major Salesforce.com has set up a Social Media Command Center (SMCC) at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013 venue.

The SMCC is powered by its Marketing Cloud and captures real-time tweets, instagram photos, Facebook updates, along with gender, geographic, most mentioned brands etc details that are being generated from the venue.

The SMCC is staffed by community managers who not only listen to such updates, but also respond in real-time.

"Tied to specific business objectives, the SMCC provides both the tools and the processes to enable efficient and practical listening and engagement through the Marketing Cloud Engagement Console and its built-in workflow. This is absolutely essential when focusing on real-time engagement and buzz at a conference with more than 1,50,000 registered attendees," reads a blogpost on the company's official blog.
