Saif, Kareena to compete in brand building

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Almost two weeks after Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor signed deal with Sony Ericsson to become the brand ambassador of the company, her beau Saif Ali Khan has tightened his belt to promote its competitor's product in the same market.

Wynn Telecom which recently forayed in to handset market has signed Saif as brand ambassador to promote its Wynncom brand.

“I am excited to represent the brand Wynncom that stands for cutting-edge innovation and style. I admire the brand’s attitude and style and relate to it closely as it is refreshingly trendy and fast.” the actor Said.

Rakesh Malhotra, Co-Founder and Chairman, Wynn Telecom expressed excitement about this new association. “We believe that the association is a perfect match between Saif’s personality and what we stand for as a brand. We are glad to sign him as he is admired, aggressive and extremely popular within the youth,” he said.

Wynn Telecom is an extension of SAR Group of companies which has LUMINOUS as its flagship brand.

Kareena, on the other side, has expressed her liking for Sony Ericsson handsets and had found social networking ability and camera in Sony Ericsson handset to be most impressive features that she has ever seen in a handset.

For both the companies, the buzzword is 'Youth' and they are in the field to make their mark in this segment.

Now, the challenge for Saif is to establish a new brand in crowded Indian market where more than 59 handset companies are already in race to grab market and mind share.
