SafeNet solution earns EAL4 certification

NEW DELHI, INDIA: SafeNet announced that its full disk encryption solution, ProtectDrive, received Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 4 (EAL4) certification, a security standard recognized by government agencies and industries around the world.

ProtectDrive is a full-disk encryption solution that is part of a comprehensive enterprise data protection suite that protects not only endpoint devices, but also data throughout the enterprise. ProtectDrive encrypts the entire hard drive of laptops, workstations, and servers, as well as removable media; such as USB flash drives, in order to protect data in cases of theft or loss of hardware. Other solutions in the suite protect fileservers, databases, applications and networks.

It can be deployed and managed directly using Microsoft Active Directory or ADAM, providing assurance, reduced management complexities and significant cost savings.
