Rs 6275 crore allocated to science and technology projects; Rs 5616 crore for space technology projects

Budget 2013 announcements by finance minister P Chidambaram:

1. Rs 6275 crore allocated to science and technology projects

2. Rs 5616 crore for space technology projects

3. Rs 5880 crore for atomic energy projects

4. Rs 200 crore set aside for organistions working in innovative science and technology projects

5. RS 100 crore for 4 universities, Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu university, Tata Institute in Guwahati and INTSE

6. By the end of 2013,  299 cities will have private FM channels
