Rolta acquires WhittmanHart consulting

MUMBAI, INDIA: Rolta, an IT services provider, today announced its acquisition of WhittmanHart consulting, a Division of WhittmanHart Inc., a Chicago-based company providing value-driven solution in digital communications and enabling technologies.

WHC fills an important need for Rolta, bringing significant strength and track record in Oracle’s Hyperion products and a major focus on Enterprise Performance Management, said a press release.

According to the company, this transaction would foster in its move up to the value chain and address complementary markets.

It can now offer a more complete range of business solutions and consulting services such as EPM and risk management, especially to its GIS/geospatial and engineering clients.

WHC’s partners include Oracle, Business Objects, Cognos, CA and HP. It is also an active member of Oracle’s Partner Advisory Council.

"This acquisition is in keeping with our declared strategy of acquiring technologies and skills that help our clients get greater returns from their investments in enterprise solutions and services from Rolta," said, K. Singh, chairman and chief executive officer, Rolta.

With this transaction, Rolta would acquire an impressive track record, a significant customer base, highly experienced consultants, unique methodologies and technologies in a fast-growing market niche, ongoing customer contracts, and a profitable revenue stream, the company stated in the press release.
