Rolta acquires OneGIS

MUMBAI, INDIA: Rolta, a provider of innovative information technology solutions, on Monday announced the strategic acquisition of OneGIS, Inc. of Atlanta, USA.

OneGIS is a consulting, development and systems integration firm with a track record of implementing geospatial and IT solutions, said a press release.

Their keen industry insights has enabled OneGIS to successfully deliver sophisticated geospatial consulting to infrastructure management markets including electric, gas and water utilities, telecommunications companies and local and regional governments.

In addition to gaining a consulting track-record, Rolta has acquired the company's intellectual property, including the OneView Mobile solution, to enrich its portfolio of IP, the release said.

This work-focused, asset-centric mobile GIS application allows field personnel to apply specific work-related actions to help automate their daily work assignments through its unique, user configurable, Action Framework. OneView Mobile is already operational in several large Utilities and Telecoms within the North American Market.

OneView Mobile will become an integral part of Roltas GeospatialFusion which provides an enterprise-wide solution for spatial viewing, integration and business intelligence.

This new combination of GeospatialFusion and OneView Mobile will be used to provide powerful productivity solutions that are synchronized between the office and field workforce, the release added.

OneGIS has knowledge of ESRI applications and integration experience of industry solutions such as Telvents facility and landbase information management software ArcFM, Telcordias telecom physical asset management software Network Engineer and Azteca Systems work and maintenance management software Cityworks.
