RockeTalk to engage 40 mn users by 2013

NEW DELHI, INDIA: RockeTalk, a mobile social network provider, expects to engage 40 million users by 2013. The company has ambitious plans for Gen-Y in order to keep them interactive.

With more than hundred thousand communities in India, RockeTalk is believed to be ahead of Facebook and Twitter on mobile applications. The company partners with large wireless operators to facilitate its user base with mobile data services.

Rajiv Kumar, CEO and founder, RockeTalk, said that they were ambitious to expand their user base. "Our technical and content teams work towards catering to end consumer needs and provide relevant solutions," he added.

The company said that it was growing and believed in breaking its own benchmark. "We are confident that we will be able to double our active user base in a short span of time," said Kumar.

He also stated that Informate Mobile Intelligence in its study had revealed that RockeTalk is the most downloaded application.

"We also partner with a number of OEMs, like LG, Samsung, Lava, Karbonn that pre-embed RockeTalk on their data-enabled handset models."

The company has strong audience engagement with close to 1 billion page views in a month. "We expect to reach a user base of 20 million users in the next several months. By 2013, we should be able to reach nearly 40 million active users," Kumar said.

The interactive platform of RockeTalk enables any mobile user to post comments, communicate with friends, join live communities, send voice- and video-enabled greetings, upload a large number of photos, videos and audios, and offers unique blogging experience.
