Rittal opens green data center in India

MUMBAI, INDIA: Rittal India Private Limited, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Rittal GmbH & Co. KG, Germany and one of the largest enclosure manufacturers in the world, has opened a fully functional green data center in live operation at its Mumbai office.

The fully functional green data center was inaugurated by Dr. Herald Werner, senior vice president, International Sales, Rittal GmbH & Co. KG, Germany along with A K Nathan, managing director, Rittal India.

Rittal, in alliance with its subsidiary group company Lampertz and Litcos, presents the IT infrastructures and IT safety rooms for the energy-efficient, safe and ecological data center of the future, under the "Efficiency E4" banner.

This ‘green’ data center is based on the E4 formula, which guarantees optimum efficiency in the areas of energy, security, availability and synergy.

In the ‘Energy’ sector for instance, the group offers the most modern, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) with a high level of efficiency and a rack-and-room-based climate control concept that is environment-friendly and characterized by the economic use of resources and by cost savings for the user.

For Rittal, Lampertz and Litcos, "safety and security" means the physical protection of information technology, which is ensured by IT safety rooms and safes. Modular IT infrastructures increase system and data security, which is decisive for business security.
