BANGALORE, INDIA: Research in Motion (RIM) has slashed the price of its 64-GB version of tablet PC PlayBook by around 18 per cent to Rs 19,990, according to a PTI report.

This is the second time that the Canadian firm is slashing the prices of its PlayBook. In December last, RIM announced downward price revision of the tablet ( to Rs 24,490 for the 64GB version) under an offer from the original
price Rs 37,990.
Meanwhile, RIM has marginally increased the price of its 16 GB version from Rs 13,490 to Rs 13,900 (Under offer)
A report released by Cybermedia Research indicates 21 per cent market share for BlackBerry PlayBook in India.
