Rimini Street support services delivers COBOL compiler for PeopleSoft products

COLLABORATE 14 Conference, LAS VEGAS, USA: Rimini Street Inc., the leading independent provider of enterprise software support for SAP AG's Business Suite and BusinessObjects software and Oracle Corp.'s Siebel, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, E-Business Suite, Oracle Database, Oracle Middleware, Hyperion and Oracle Retail software, announced that Rimini Street Technology Support Services has delivered a new tool for clients who subscribe to Rimini Street Support for PeopleSoft - the Rimini Street COBOL Compiler (RSI Compiler).

The RSI Compiler combines a Rimini Street pre-compiler with an IBM COBOL compiler, which, under agreement with IBM Corporation, are packaged, licensed and distributed together as an integrated solution. The RSI Compiler is immediately available at no additional cost to Rimini Street's PeopleSoft Support clients.

Several PeopleSoft products require a COBOL compiler to incorporate mandatory source code updates, such as payroll tax calculation formula changes. Until now, the only solution for PeopleSoft users was to pay expensive license fees to Oracle for each copy of a MicroFocus COBOL compiler. Oracle is the exclusive licensing source for MicroFocus COBOL compilers for use with PeopleSoft products.

Rimini Street provides clients a further reduction in total cost of ownership by offering the RSI Compiler to Rimini Street's PeopleSoft Support clients at no additional cost. Clients are provided a term license for use with a test and development instance of PeopleSoft software for as long as they remain a subscriber to Rimini Street Support.
