Rimini St confident on third-party support mkt appetite

LAS VEGAS, USA: Rimini Street, Inc., the third-party maintenance and support provider for enterprise software, including SAP AG software and Oracle Corporation's Siebel, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, E-Business Suite, Oracle Database and Hyperion software, has announced the appointment of Andrew Powell as managing director, Asia-Pacific. In this role, Powell leads the continued growth and expansion of Rimini Street operations throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Powell joined Rimini Street on the 8th of April and is part of the Company's strategic plan to expand investment in all major global markets in the coming years.

As per the announcement, Powell has a proven track record building, growing and leading businesses in the Asia-Pacific region, including 15 years of experience helping customers drive success primarily with SAP enterprise software. In his prior role as general manager - commercial with NTT DATA Business Solutions, Powell led a business unit responsible for designing, implementing and supporting SAP solutions for medium and large companies in Australia. Previously, Powell was regional vice president at Sabre Airline Solutions based in Singapore, where Powell delivered enterprise software solutions and services to the airline industry. Prior to this role, Powell was national SAP practice manager at Data#3 Limited. As an SAP Channel Partner, Data#3 specialized in the provision of SAP solutions, including SAP licenses, services and support.

In total, over 600 clients have selected Rimini Street for support of their enterprise software, including 71 of the Fortune 500 and 15 of the Global 100.

The Company maintains support, operations, development and tax and regulatory update services in the Asia-Pacific region and will be significantly increasing this investment in conjunction with the appointment of Powell and the expansion of sales operations in the region.
