RIM requests for extension of deadline

NEW DELHI, INDIA: BlackBerry maker RIM has requested India for two months extension of the deadline which Government had proposed to ban BlackBerry services namely Blackberry Enterprise and BlackBerry Messenger.

BlackBerry has written a letter to both Secretary of Department of Telecom and Home Secretary G.K Pillai this morning.

DOT official said, “ We are meeting this evening on BlackBerry issue and whatever will be decided this evening will be conveyed tomorrow.”
