The first Omni-ID tag based on the Intelleflex XC1 chip is expected to be available in the third quarter of this year“The Aerospace & Defense industry has anxiously awaited standards based, compliant RFID tags with extended user memory,” said Ken Porad, Associate Technical Fellow, The Boeing Company. “It will be very exciting to finally have them readily available.”

A press release adds that Omni-ID offers a wide variety of high performance RFID tags that deliver near-perfect read rates on, off and near metals and liquids. Using a fundamentally different approach to RFID design, Omni-ID created a patented technology structure that allows for continued innovation and product development. Developing a high-memory tag based on the Intelleflex XC1 chip leverages this technology structure and is a natural extension of Omni-ID’s existing tag portfolio targeting the industrial, manufacturing and defense markets.
