BANGALORE, INDIA: Reliance seems to have taken its proposed fourth generation (4G) broadband services pretty seriously. Reliance Industries-owned Infotel Broadband Services has reportedly hired Arvind Rao, former chief executive of OnMobile Global, for its 4G services, which are expected to be rolled out in 10 months.

According to reports in media, Rao has joined Infotel as head of innovation and platform.

After over 14 years of experience in telecommunications, Rao had quit OnMobile in July this year after the company conducted a "special review of its corporate governance procedures" and found some lapses in some process.

Rao completed his BTech from IIT Bombay and pursued MBA in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also worked at McKinsey & Co, with focus on the electronics sector.
