Reliability within the network is critical

CIOL: What is the key data center attribute?

CIOL: Do you think time has come to take the data center seriously?

DK: Yes of course, the business landscape of India has changed and is continuing to change. This rapid growth of commerce is both unparalleled and unexpected. While Indian metros are housing global scale businesses, the semi metro cities are fast gearing up to witness the next wave of development. In such a scenario, network infrastructure will unquestionably be a key element that will drive and sustain this upsurge. High speed, high bandwidth capabilities and reliability within the network will be critical.

Literally, millions of dollars can be lost in a single hour of down time for some businesses, such as large banks, airlines, package shippers, and online brokerages. Indeed, 70 percent of network downtime can be attributed to physical layer problems. Specifically, cabling faults and connection failures.
