The Chinese handset manufacturer initially announced that the 4G version of Redmi Note will be available in India from December 16. But the sale stopped due to an ex-parte injunction order from the Delhi High Court in a patent infringement case filed by Ericsson against Xiaomi. But the ban was partially lifted  by the court later- permitting Xiaomi to sell Qualcomm powered handsets in India.

The 4G device is a dual band LTE phone which runs on a quad-core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The 3G version which went on sale on Dec 2 contains a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor.

The smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and features 5.5-inch HD (720×1280-pixel) IPS LCD displays with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection; 8GB built-in storage and a microSD card slot for expansion; 13-megapixel rear camera, and 5-megapixel front camera. The device is priced at Rs. 9,999.

Besides Flipkart, Redmi Note 4G will also be available in select Airtel stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai by end-December.
