Redman is EMC Software AsiaPac VP

HONG KONG: EMC Corporation has announced the appointment of Steve Redman as vice president of EMC Software Group for Asia Pacific and Japan.

Redman has over 15 years of expertise and industry experience in EMC in the region.

In the new post, Redman will be responsible for the sales operations of EMC Software Group across Asia Pacific and Japan. He will also play a key role in continuing to leverage the successful integration of recently acquired companies Documentum and Legato, as well as integrating newly acquired companies such as Captiva and Acartus into the EMC Software Group.

Redman was earlier managing director for EMC in Australia and New Zealand. He has held key management positions at various companies. Before joining EMC in August 2000, he was general manager of Rockwell Electronic Commerce. Before this, Redman was with Lucent Technologies and Fuji Xerox, with roles in marketing and general management.

Redman holds a Diploma in Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Macquarie University. He is also on the Nobel Laureates Advisory Board, and is an Associate Lecturer in the MBA program at the University of Technology, Sydney.
