Rediff offers unlimited email storage free

MUMBAI: Following the footsteps of global majors like Google, Yahoo and AOL, Rediff.com India has also announced its intentions of offering unlimited storage space for mail users.

This means that mail users need not delete or cleanup their mailboxes, even as they get more space to download videos and music files.

Addressing a press conference Rediff.com chairman and founder Ajit Balakrsihnan said, "With the phenomenal growth of broadband penetration, usage of email for storage and sharing of multimedia files has increased. With unlimited storage space, individuals also get the benefit of using a single e-mail ID".

Advanced search in Rediff mail enables users to manage unlimited storage space effectively and help retrieve relevant content as and when required, he added.

Rediff.com has about 5.06 crore user as on December 31, 2006, and the company expects the phenomenal growth of broadband penetration this is going to increase multi-fold.
