Red Nexus 5 now available on Google Play

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Google has rolled out the Red unit of Nexus 5 in 12 countries, the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Korea. Earlier, the device was available in two basic colours, Black and White.

Jong Seok Park, president and CEO, LG (Mobile Division), said: "The Nexus line has always been about doing things differently and consumers who share this philosophy have been our most loyal fans." He added, "We're carrying this thinking over to the red Nexus 5, which we think will catch the eye of consumers who want to make an even bolder statement.

The Nexus 5 has been a popular device since its launch in October last year. It runs the latest Android version, 4.4 KitKat. The device flaunts a 4.95-inch IPS full HD display and is powered by 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor. For photo enthusiasts, there is an 8.0-megapixel rear snapper and a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
