Red Hat's support center in Pune

MUMBAI: Redhat would soon open its global support center in Pune. The center would cater to the needs of the company's enterprise as well as subscription-based customers. The company also plans to open its office in Hyderabad as well.

Red Hat India director Javed Tapia said, "We don't want to disclose much on that. The center would act as a customer care center for our global clients that includes Indian customers as well."







The center would be operational in February 2005 in Pune. This center would allow customers to virtually extend in-house expertise. The global support center would also provide production support as part of every Red Hat software subscription.

The company would also provide Technical Account Management for customers who desire the deepest technical relationship with Red Hat, Developer Support for customers who are developing or porting an application to Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Premium Developer Support for customers developing or porting an application to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.







The company currently has 1,32,000 subscribed customers worldwide. In India, the company is growing by 100 percent and intends to grow at the same rate. In APAC region, India is second largest contributor to the company's revenues after Japan.
