HYDERABAD: Recursion Software Ltd., a Hyderabad-based software development
company has launched its education management software for the education sector.
The software product enables the educational institutions, relieving the burden
of setting the question papers by their faculty for their internal examinations.
The company has priced the product at Rs 75,000 and is scouting for channel
partners for all over India for marketing of the product.
"We are targeting the software for all the junior colleges, EAMCET
coaching centers, autonomous colleges and I am sure that this software would
prove to be very useful for institutes who conduct periodic tests regularly and
track the performance of the individual student. For marketing the product,
ideally we would like to have a channel partner in each of the state within the
country within two months time," said MD of the company Krishna Vemuri.
To use the software all that is required by the institute is to enter the
questions in the database and with a click of a mouse the question paper is
generated in chosen subject or combination of subjects. "A teacher can also
choose language and the level of complexity depending on the level of the
students to be tested by the institute," he added.
The software has the ability to jumble the questions and also jumble the
answer options with separate key for each set so that it eliminates the copying
pattern of the students. "In addition to that we have added features, which
give a comprehensive analysis about the student including the strengths and
weaknesses of each students, which helps the institute and the students
themselves to concentrate on their weaknesses and improve them for their
future," he explained.
The product is available in four different versions based on the different
market segments- Regular EAMCET version, EAMCET + board of intermediate version,
degree college version and distributed data version, which is web-based. At
present the product has been installed at Vikas educational society, Vizag and
Narayana Educational Institutions, Nellore.
